Once again, the non-teaching staff across Maharashtra have announced to go on an indefinite strike from March 5 to press their several demands.

The protest is being organised by Ashaskiye Mahavidyalayin Sikshaketar Karamchari Sangh (AMSKS). The non-teaching staff association informed that the employees were being paid under Ashwasit Pragati Yojana till November 2018.

However, on December 7, 2018, and February 16, 2019, the Maharashtra government passed a resolution ending the years old scheme. This has affected the earnings of the employees, the association added.
