As per the changes made in the CBSE 2020 Syllabus, it is highly expected that the JEE Main 2021 Syllabus will have 30% reduction. However, it has not been confirmed yet by the National Testing Agency.

The HRD Minister – Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal “Nishank” has made announcement about the reduction in the CBSE Syllabus from 9th to 12th class. It is well known that the JEE Main Syllabus mostly consist of topics from 11th & 12th standard subjects. So, there are chances that the JEE Main 2021 Syllabus will be reduced as well.

The reduction in the CBSE Syllabus is done while keeping the core concepts present in the syllabus. All these changes have been made while keeping in view the prevailing conditions of COVID-19.

Due to the pandemic, the candidates are having a hard time in the preparation of the exam. It has greatly impacted the preparation timing thereby demanding the reduction in the syllabus by the students. So, for the ease of the candidates it is likely that the JEE Main 2021 Syllabus may get reduced.

JEE Main is a national level exam organized every year. It offers admission to eligible aspirants in B.Tech/ B.E, B.Arch & B.Plan programmes. The admission is provided in various prestigious colleges like IITs, NITS, CFTIs, etc.

JEE Main 2021 Exam will be held in online CBT mode & time duration will be 3 hours. The Syllabus of JEE Main consists of various topics from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.

According to the latest pattern, there will be objective type MCQS & numerical type questions in the paper. For architecture paper, there will be drawing test. Number of questions and distribution of marks will vary for different papers.

Talking about the JEE Main marking scheme, for each correct answer 4 marks will be given. There will be negative marking in the papers. 1 mark will be reduced for each wrong answer. However, there will be no negative marking in case of numerical answer type questions.

JEE Main Exam is organized twice every year. The registration process of JEE Main 2021 will start in the month of December for the first session. The exam will be held in January 2021 in Computer-based test mode.

Students can also register for the JEE Main 2021 second session whose applications will be released in February 2021. Before applying for the exam, candidates must briefly check the eligibility norms and other details of the exam. Candidates passed/ appearing in their 12th level with PCM subjects will be eligible to apply.
