Many important decisions were taken in the cabinet meeting of the Maharashtra government on Tuesday, October 31. The cabinet meeting held today approved the setting up of an ITI training institute for boys and girls belonging to Scheduled Caste, Neo-Buddhists in Chembur, suburban district of Mumbai. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had organised the meeting. This ITI will be started in collaboration with the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance.
The number of government higher level ITIs for Scheduled Caste, Neo-Buddhist boys and girls in Mumbai division is less. It was decided to start this ITI to make these children employable and provide the required skilled manpower to the industries.

In this, 20 units of 2 units each of 10 trades (business courses) will be launched. For this, 36 posts of teachers and non-teachers and 44 posts out of 8 posts from the external system and an expenditure of 5 crore 38 lakh 88 thousand rupees were also approved.
