On Thursday, December 16, state school education minister, Varsha Gaikwad took Twitter to announce that grade 12 (HSC) examinations will be conducted offline from March 4, 2022, to April 7, 2022. On the other hand, grade 10 (SSC) will be conducted offline from March 15, 2022, to April 18, 2022.

Gaikwad, however, added that owing to COVID-19, the curriculum was previously cut by 25 per cent. Therefore, questions will only come from the reduced syllabus. According to Gaikwad, the examination schedule for the HSC and SSC examinations was undertaken in accordance with the feedback and consultations from the various stakeholders.
On the other hand, practicals, grades, orals and internal assessments for both HSC and SSC students will be held from February 14 - March 3, 2022, and February 25 - March 14, 2022, respectively. The detailed exam timetable for this will be released by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education.
Apart from mentioning that the exams will be conducted by keeping in mind the coronavirus protocols, they aim to declare the HSC Results by the second week of June 2022. Similarly, SSC Results are hoped to be declared by the second week of July 2022.
Gaikwad remarked, “The health & well-being of students remains our priority. To ensure a conducive environment for the students, we held a series of consultations with schools, principals, headmasters, teachers and experts regarding the assessment mode and exam schedule. Their suggestions were incorporated.”
