As per the previous schedule, MPSC exams were expected to be held from September 20. Officials had also sought request to conduct them at all divisional centres, to ensure social distancing and safety during the examination. However, with an increasing number of cases across the state, the government has decided to revised the dates for the same, and this has brought a sigh of relief among the candidates, who thanked the CM and the government for the decision.

Earlier, officials had changed the dates for the exams as they were closing with the already scheduled NEET 2020, which is also taken by many students in the state. Officials stated that having both the exams at the same time would make it difficult for students.

As per updates, MPSC 2020 will include General Studies and Civil Services Aptitude Test, which are conducted in English and Marathi, and selected candidates with the required scores will be chosen for more than 200 positions which will be opened across the departments in the state. The exams will include negative marking, and the candidates will have to attend an interview if selected after the preliminary examinations.
