Alongside SSC and HSC students attaining their own schools and colleges as exam centres, teachers too will be supervising their own students, reports stated.

Earlier, students would be allotted centres in the vicinity of their educational establishments. Several accounts have quoted principals elaborating on how that while students received home centres, teachers could be reshuffled to other centres and not be at their own educational establishments.

The Maharashtra board examinations for classes 10 and 12 is slated to be held offline. While class 12 examinations are scheduled to be held from March 4 to 30. Those, for grade 10 it is slated to be held from March 15 to April 4.

In light of the controversy surrounding the conduction of offline board exams that resulted in protests in Mumbai and some other parts of Maharashtra, state school education minister Varsha Gaikwad had announced certain special measures for the board exams that enabled students to write their exams in the school or college they study in.

Additionally, the state government on Monday, February 14, in an official notification stated that unvaccinated students will be allowed to appear for the exam. However, schools and colleges have been asked to encourage students to get inoculated for their own safety.
