Mission FYJC admission is in full swing in and around Mumbai. On July 31, 2018, the third merit list of FYJC admission was released. Around 1.17 lakh students had applied to this list, of which, 54,727 students secured admission. However, students who did not make it in this list will have to wait for the fourth list, which will be released on August 7, 2018.

On June 8, 2018, SSC results were declared and from June 13, admission for FYJC began for the academic year 2018-19. Students were asked to fill up the applications between June 13 and July 3, 2018. The first merit list was announced on July 5, 2018 around 11:00 am. Students who made it in this list had to secure their admission between July 6 and July 9, 2018. Meanwhile, due to heavy rains, admission date was extended by two days. Due to this, the second merit list, which was scheduled for July 13, was announced on July 16. 

However, it got delayed further when the Bombay High Court’s Nagpur bench allowed minority colleges to surrender in-house quota seats under the Central Admission Process (CAP). The state education department announced that the list will be announced on July 19. Finally, the second merit list was announced on July 19 and the third merit list, which was expected to be released on July 26 was announced on July 31, 2018.

The state education department has asked colleges, that has completed 70 per cent of admission procedure, to start conducting lectures. The department added that the colleges should take extra lectures of the students who will join later and complete cover up their syllabus.
