Mumbai University declares BLS (Sem V) and LLB (Sem I) results after months of delay

The Law examinations were conducted during December 2017-January 2018. But when even after 45 days the University did not declare the result, the students were forced to hold a protest at Kalina campus.

BLS (LLB) Semester V and LLB Semester I results were announced by Mumbai University on Tuesday, May 15. For a long time, the students awaited their results but every time they were postponed which led to anger amongst the students.

According to Dr. Arjun Ghatule, Director of the Examination and Evaluation (Mumbai University), 2489 applicants had applied for the Semester V of the Bachelor of Legal Science and Bachelor of Law, out of which, 2343 students sat the examination. However, only 787 candidates passed the examination and the remaining 1484 students failed.

On the other hand, 6635 students applied for the Semester I of the Bachelor of Law examination, out of which, 5484 students sat the examination. And similar to the BLS (LLB) examination, 1988 students passed the exams and 3495 students did not.

The Law examinations were conducted during December 2017-January 2018. But when even after 45 days the University did not declare the result, the students were forced to hold a protest at Kalina campus.

The final exams which were initially set to commence from May 22 and May 23, has been postponed to May 30-31.
