The officials of the University of Mumbai (MU) has stated that the final-year undergraduate students can expect the results of their fifth and sixth semester soon.

Moreover, while semester examinations were held earlier this year, final-semester exams were held in May and June. According to reports, “First, we will announce the results of semester-5 exams. Students can expect their results by the end of this week or early next week,” said an official from the board of examination and evaluation, MU.

On Monday, July 5, MU declared results for 28 subjects. The examinations for the same were held at the end of the summer semester in May. However, the consolidated results for BA, BSc and BCom courses are yet to be announced.

Amidst the coronavirus pandemic, MU is facing a shortage of staff. As a result, there has been a delay with regard to results. However, the officials are reportedly doing their best to release the results on time.

On the other hand, the University is said to soon offer an engineering course in Marathi. On Tuesday, June 29, the academic council of MU cleared all the proposals with regard to the new initiatives that are to be undertaken by the university.

According to reports, undergraduate commerce subjects will have credits for research. Moreover, new subjects such as blockchain, artificial intelligence and machine learning will figure in the fresh course offerings.
