The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has started a CBSE board school to provide quality education to students from economically weaker sections of the city. The response of the citizens is increasing day by day since the school started. This year, 959 applications have been filed for 240 seats. But the admission process has not yet started and all the parents are paying attention to when the lottery will be drawn. Finally, this lottery will be drawn on Thursday, May 4.


Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has set up CBSE board schools at Kopar Khairane Sector 11 and Nerul Sector 50. Private schools are providing education to students by charging huge fees. So it is beyond the reach of ordinary citizens to give this education to their children. Therefore, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has provided an alternative to the poor, economically weaker sections by starting CBSE schools.

So the response to these schools is increasing day by day. This year, applications were invited till March 25 for admission. 1,115 applications have been received in both the schools. School No. 94 at Koparkhairane has received 673 applications and 521 have been qualified, while in Seawoods School No. 93, 442 applications have been received and 414 applications have been qualified and out of these 240 seats will be selected through lottery.
