According to sources, thermal screening of students, supervisors and heads of centres will be conducted before entering the examination centre.

In recent developments, a revised schedule for Class X and XII examinations that are to be held in Mumbai in the months of April-May has been announced.

Moreover, the State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has also issued guidelines in view of the outbreak of coronavirus.  

Revised schedule:

  • 10th written examination - April 29 to May 20
  • 10th practical Examination - May 21 to June 10
  • 12th standard examination - April 23 to May 21
  • 12th practical Examination - May 22 to June 10

Importantly, the time limit for the 40-100-mark test will be extended to 30 minutes. For the 40 to 60 marks test, the time will be extended to 15 minutes. Moreover, the written test of the students will start at 10.30 am in the morning session and at 3 pm in the afternoon session. According to sources, thermal screening of students, supervisors and heads of centres will be conducted before entering the examination centre.

Guidelines for students:

- Reach the centre one to one and a half hours before the examination.

- Thermal screening of students, supervisors and heads of centres will be held.

- After checking the temperature, the students should be present at the meeting place at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the actual examination.

- It will be mandatory to wear a mask, carry a water bottle and personal writing material.

On the other hand, internal assessments will be conducted basis of the written test, which will be held between May 21 to June 10, 2021. The planning for the same will be done by the concerned school. In the meantime, if the student is ill, an additional 15 days will be given for submission
