After increasing the fare by 30 percent last year, the School Bus Association has decided to increase the fare of school buses in Mumbai by 15 to 20 percent again this year. Accordingly, the fee will be increased from April 1.

Last year, the association increased the school bus fare by 30 percent. Due to the fact that the rent was not increased during the Corona period, the fee was directly increased by 30 percent. This year, the association has decided to increase the fee up to 20 percent again. The 'School Bus Association' has said that due to the increase in fuel prices, the increased cost of bus materials, the financial calculations of the month are coming to an end.

The policy of the central government is to scrap vehicles older than fifteen years. Now the rates of new buses have also increased, says the association. Now the cost of a new bus is INR 28 lakh, while the price of a mini bus is INR 21 lakh. Also the prices of spare parts, batteries have increased by 12 to 18 percent. The wages of bus drivers and other employees have been increased. Therefore, it has been decided to increase the school bus fare by 15 to 20 percent from April 1, said Anil Garg, president of the School Bus Association.
