It has been two months since the Brihanmunbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has adjusted surplus teachers of North zone civic schools in West zone civic schools, yet the teachers who have been adjusted have not received their salaries.

The Shikshak Parishad have filed a complaint with the deputy director and director of the education department. To carry out the adjustment of surplus teachers in civic-run schools, a camp was organised in the month of October.

However, officials concerned of West zone schools have clarified that they have cleared the salaries but the whole procedure of paying off salaries will take time.

Now, due to the delay, teachers are facing problems with regards to EMIs and loans as they are not able to pay off the loan on time.

The education inspector's office should immediately pay off the pending salaries as teachers are not able to pay their monthly EMIs on time," Anil Bornare, Shikshak Parishad, Mumbai.
