College teachers indefinite protest to fulfill their demands

With their various demands, Junior college teachers had gone on Untimely strike outside of the Education Department office in Charni Road.

Teachers have kept their demands stating that from 2 May 2012, newly appointed teachers are not given regular salary and other expenses and facilities. Teachers also said that they are forced to work extra hours; unnecessarily notices are sent to teachers. The protest is held by teachers of Bharti Junior College unit RB Patil, Suresh Kotikar, Sharad Girmarkar, Ishwar Awhad, Vijay Ghodvinde, and other college staff.

Ishwar Awhad said that which schools run without government funding and they should be brought under government intervention and assistant teachers, who are working under probation period, should be taken under teaching staff immediately.

Teachers and employees of Minority Educational Institute should be given recognition on the date on which the appointment. Not only this but if any due to any reason the online payment is not given due to technical error then offline the payment should be cleared on time. Awhad also said that vacant post of teachers should be filled immediately without any condition and rest of 20 demands should be accepted and fulfilled.
