Third-year law student Swati Bagde from Siddharth college of Law completed her graduation in the year 2015. The clerical mistake from the college’s administration has impacted her bright career in a big manner. Badge’s practical exam marks were not forwarded to Mumbai University.

This resulted in university cancelling her admission and withholding the results of her sixth-semester examinations of 3rd year LLB course for the year 2014-15. Bagde approached the college with the complaint; a committee was set up by Mumbai University in February to look into the matter. The college accepted the mistake and application were sent to examination department. But the university denied considering the marks as it was submitted late.

Dr M.A. Khan, Registrar of Mumbai University stated that in such cases, where marks are submitted later or after revision, there is always a concern over authenticity. Colleges are given strict guidelines for being careful while feeding the data online.
