Dadar - Better halves are set to make better headlines in the coming civic elections, it appears.
MNS Sandeep Deshpande's wife Swapna has quit her government job as tehsildar in order to be able to contest the polls. She will contest from the ward number 191, which has been created after restructuring of existing wards. Ward number 185 has been restructured into 191 and is reserved for women candidates. Sandeep Deshpande was the corporator of this ward during the current term, but since he will no longer be able to contest from this ward, he will be fielding his wife.
Mumbai Live learns that Swapna recently quit her job to contest the election. Sandeep Deshpande shared this information while speaking to Mumbai Live's correspondent during our ongoing Ungli Uthao programme.
