Mumbai-Marathi soaps are quite popular and one of them is the serial "Jeev Tujhyat Rangala". A cute story about young lad Rana from the akhadas of Kolhapur who falls in love with the teacher at the local village school.
To add a bit of twist, Khiladi Akshay Kumar enters the plots as Rana friend, philosopher and guide to help him express his love.
The story goes like this- Rana is taken to a 5 star hotel along with this ladylove Anjali and her friend Kalpesh. There Kalpesh bullies Rana over his dressing and his way of talking. This demotivates Rana and he is almost in tears.
Enter Mr Jolly LLB who watches all this and comes to Rana as his saviour.
This motivates Rana and he goes on to woo his ladylove.
Promotion of films is regularly done on the idiot box, but this new trend of Bollywood actors venturing into regional soaps is turning out to be quite interesting.
The actors from the marathi soap were in for a pleasant surprise when Akshay entered the scene as they were not told about it by the director.
This special episode will be on air on the 1st and 2nd February at 7.30pm.
