Bollywood’s Khiladi Kumar decided to ditch his chauffeur-driven car to a metro ride to beat the traffic. He even shot a video of his travel and shared on social media. Akshay Kumar is riding high on the success of his recent movie Mission Mangal and said that he managed to travel like a boss.
He took the metro from Ghatkopar to Versova. In a video, he shared, “I am in the Metro. I came here quietly. I was shooting in Ghatkopar and from there I wanted to go to Versova which would have taken two hours, five minutes according to the map".
He also mentioned that the total journey by train took him just 20 minutes. Ironically, no one in the metro realised that they had a Bollywood star riding with them. In his post, he also plugged in the promotion of the movie by commenting that it was the director of his upcoming movie that had suggested him to travel by metro.

Apart from avoiding the congestion and traffic, Akshay also complimented that Mumbai Metro is the only transportation that runs on an elevated path and doesn't get affected even if there is water-logging on the roads.
Mumbai Metro authorities were quick to thank Akshay Kumar for his praise. They tweeted, "We are really ecstatic that you could rely on #MumbaiMetro to beat the traffic & travel #LikeABoss. Thank you. #HaveAGreatEvening."
While they are many praising the actor to rely on Mumbai Metro but there are also people that are questioning the timing of his travel plans.
Just a couple of days ago, Amitabh Bachchan too had praised Mumbai Metro for providing hassle-free commute.
