Amitabh Bachchan will be honoured with the Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award this year for his career and contribution in the film industry.


Last year, the Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award was given to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This year this award has been announced to Amitabh Bachchan. The Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Memorial Award Ceremony which is known as Honor Award Ceremony of Maharashtra was announced. The award ceremony was announced in the presence of Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar, veteran singer Usha Mangeshkar and Adinath Mangeshkar.

On the occasion of Deenanath Mangeshkar's 82nd death anniversary, this award ceremony will be held on April 24. The ceremony will be held at Deenanath Theater. Veterans in the fields of music, drama, art, medicine, journalism and social work along with Amitabh Bachchan will be felicitated in this ceremony.


Ashok Saraf, Atul Parchure and Padmini Kolhapure will also be honoured

The Pratishthan decided to honour several others with the Master Deenanath Mangeshkar award: music director AR Rahman and veteran Marathi actor Ashok Saraf for music; Padmini Kolhapure for films; singer Roopkumar Rathod for Indian music; actor Atul Parchure for Marathi theatre; and retired teacher and author Manjiri Phadke for literature. Additionally, actor, producer, and director Randeep Hooda received a special award for his contributions to cinema.
