Asha Bhosle bags Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award; Pankaj Udas, Vidya Balan also honoured

This year's 'Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar' award has been announced. Veteran singer Asha Bhosle has won the award this year. Along with this, Vidya Balan, Pankaj Udas, Prasad Oak and many others have been announced for the Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Award. Singer Usha Mangeshkar announced the awards.

A press release was recently issued on the occasion of the 81st death anniversary of late Master Deenanath Mangeshkar. Information about this award was given in this press release. According to this, this year's Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award has been announced to veteran singer Asha Bhosle. Marathi film industry actor Prasad Oak will be honoured with a special award for his contribution in the field of film and drama. Also, a special award will be given to actress Vidya Balan for her contribution in the film industry.

The Mangeshkar family has been running Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Smruti Pratishthan, Pune, a public charitable trust for the past 33 years. Mangeshkar Pratishthan felicitates veterans in the fields of music, drama, art, medicine, business and social work. The distribution ceremony of this year's prestigious Deenanath Award and other awards of the Trust will be held on April 24, 2023. This program is organised at Sri Shanmukhananda Hall in Sion, Mumbai.

Meanwhile since last year, the 'Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award' has been given by the Mangeshkar family and trust in memory of Bharat Ratna Lata Didi. This award is given to only one person every year. This award is to be given to a person who has made unparalleled, spectacular and exemplary contributions to our nation, people and society. Last year, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the recipient of this award. This year, the 'Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award' will be given to Latadidi's younger sister, veteran singer Asha Bhosle. The award will be given by Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar.
