Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Iulia Ventur, Himesh Reshammiya, and many other celebrities walked the ramp in aid of cancer patients at a show organised by the Cancer Patients Aids Association (CPAA).
Fashion designer and BJP spokesperson Shaina NC has been working with the CPAA for the last 20 years. Both Shaina NC and Abu Jani- Sandeep Khosla had organised the wardrobes for the models. “In total, 101 celebrities had participated in the show and I am glad that we could pull it off with grace. Our main motto was to bring awareness regarding our work which is genuine and we want others to participate.
"It is about raising awareness and charity. Amitabh Bachchan himself donated Rs. 11 lakh. Also, people should regularly do their health checkup as its better to be late than sorry. The theme was 'Golden door' where actors like Suzzane Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, walked the ramp,” said Sandeep Khosla.
However, doctors feel that there should be sufficient funds for research as well. “There is not enough money for research and so I feel awareness is the need of the hour,” said Dr Amit Shah, a pediatrician.
