Dinesh Phadnis, who played the famous character of CID Officer Fredericks in Sony TV's popular crime show 'CID', breathed his last at 12:08 pm on Monday at Tunga Hospital, Kandivali. 57-year-old Dinesh Phadnis died of multiple organ failure.
Dayanand Shetty, who plays Daya in CID and is a very close friend of Dinesh Phadnis, told a news channel that Dinesh was suffering from liver, heart and kidney problems and his complications were increasing day by day.
Dinesh Phadnis was admitted to Tunga Hospital in Kandivali from November 30. The body of Dinesh Phadnis will be cremated soon at the Daulat Nagar crematorium in Borivali.
Apart from TV shows, he also acted in many films. Dinesh Phadnis has been associated with the show CID since its inception in 1998 and has appeared on the show regularly throughout CID's two-decade journey.
