Anthony Bourdain is one name which many food and travel lovers in the world reckon with. Popularly recognized as a celebrity chef and television personality, Anthony’s show, Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, which aired on an Indian infotainment channel, garnered an impressive viewership.

As per reports, Anthony, 61, was found dead in his hotel room. He was in France shooting was his series. Police suspects suicide says CNN reports. In a statement released regarding the same, a local cable network said, “It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain."

Popular media network, CNN, released a statement, which read, "His love of great adventure, new friends, fine food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller. His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time."

The award-winning chef was working in association with CNN for a new travel and food show. Besides food, he was recognized for his work as a fiction and nonfiction author.
