Sony Entertainment Television’s popular light hearted show The Kapil Sharma Show may soon bid adieu to all the fans.
As per the buzz in the industry, the channel is not sure about renewing the contract of The Kapil Sharma Show. It was supposed to be renewed in the month of April, but after almost three months, the channel hasn’t come to any conclusion. One of the reasons the channel is on standby mode is considered to be Kapil’s health issues.
If sources are to be believed the season 2 of the dance reality show Super Dancer might replace The Kapil Sharma Show.
It is also reported that Kapil is under stress and pressure because of the comedian Krushna Abhishek and his former co-star Ali Asgar’s new show The Drama Company which is being telecasted on the same channel. If we can recollect from the past, similar incidents had happened when both these comedy stars had their own shows and clashes on Colors. So, looking at the recent additions in the programming, could it also be due to the addition of the new show with the rival? Could be.
Recently when the cast of Jab Harry Met Sejal and Mubarakan visited on sets of the show, the host Kapil collapsed on the set due to which the shoot got canceled. Along with the health issues, Kapil has now started facing issues with the viewers too. According to the TRP ratings (Hindi GEC programs urban) from last week, the show which used to be one of the Top 5 shows has seen a great fall in the viewership.
So now it would be interesting to see whether the channel is really ready to pull out its top show ever since its launch in 2016.
