One of the most acclaimed filmmakers, Christopher Nolan, is scheduled to visit India for the launch of a facility by the imaging products company Kodak, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan mentioned in his blog post.

“KODAK (sic) that largest name for film is coming back .. many in the world of direction and production are finding values in the product done on film to be the more liked subject .. so like ‘DUNKIRK’ the film by that renowned Christopher Nolan uses only film for his pictures .. DUNKIRK was not digital it was film .. and in a month or so the man himself Mr Nolan is coming to India to inaugurate or at least lend support to a few matters ..” Bachchan wrote in his blog post.

Christopher Nolan has visited India once earlier to shoot for his movie ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ (2012). He visited Jodhpur, Rajasthan.

Nolan’s recent movie, Dunkirk, is a war film depicting the Dunkirk evacuation of World War II, was reportedly shot on large format film. It is the highest-grossing World War II film of all time, earning $525 million at the global box-office.

There is no official confirmation from Nolan about his India visit but I’m sure cinephiles across the city would be really excited to have him here.
