I never wanted to become an actor but always desired to do something creative: Manish Goplani

Manish Goplani who became popular for his stint in Colors’ Thapki Pyar Ki is all set to entertain viewers donning a new avatar. Manish will be essaying the character of Bhim Singh Bhullar in Zee Tv’s upcoming show Detective Didi.

Indian television's charming actor Manish Goplani who became popular for his stint in Colors’ Thapki Pyar Ki is all set to entertain viewers donning a new avatar. Manish will be seen essaying the character of Bhim Singh Bhullar in Zee Tv’s upcoming show Detective Didi.

Manish will be playing the role of a jovial police officer from the Delhi crime branch who investigates the cases staying within the norms of the system. “I am feeling very excited. At present, I am observing Policemen and Delhi’s local people, doing some basic homework for the character”, said Manish.

The show Detective Didi is set up in Delhi, wherein actor Manish Goplani (Police officer) and his co-star Sonia Balani (Detective) will be seen solving crime cases related to the city. The show will be based on real stories and will mostly be shot in real locations.

On being asked about his work journey from one city to another, Manish averred, “It was very difficult for me to leave Jaipur my hometown and move to Mumbai, now I am finding little tough in Delhi too. As I missing my friends back in Mumbai, with whom I had stayed and worked for two years.”

Elaborating further, “I never wanted to become an actor; I always desired to do something creative. I got to know about theatre and started doing various shows. After doing plays I thought that my interest and passion are going towards writing but then by luck I bagged a show Chorre Tera Gaon Bada Pyaara. Then in Jaipur, only I was finalized for Thapki and came to Mumbai with work in hand. My struggle period in the industry was not hard it was a very easy journey. I would like to thank my destiny for it”, said the actor while interacting with Mumbai Live at the press conference of the show.

Detective Didi as the name suggests focuses on the female lead Sonia Balani aka Bunty Sharma. When we asked Manish about he being sidelined in the show he mentioned, “I never take up a show looking at the amount of screen space. If I have a cameo entry too I believe that I should give full justice to it.”
