Nariman Point - The Yashwant International Film Festival will be organised in the city from January 20 to 26, under the aegis of the Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan, Pune Film Festival and Mumbai University.
NCP president and Pratishthan president Sharad Pawar will inaugurate this festival, festival director and noted film maker Dr Jabbar Patel told the media on Thursday. This is the seventh year of this festival. Over 75 films from all over the world will be screened. Renowned film director Ashutosh Gowariker will give a lecture in the Smita Patil Lecture Series while noted music director from Chile, George Arigada, will participate in this festival in the Master Class event. Mahendra Teredesai, Sanjay Bansode and others were present at the press conference.
