‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’ director Kundan Shah dies of heart attack in Mumbai at 5:00 am on Saturday.
The 70-year-old was well known for his 1983 Hindi comedy ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’ starring Naseeruddin Shah, Ravi Baswani, Om Puri, Pankaj Kapur, Satish Shah, Satish Kaushik, Bhakti Barve and Neena Gupta.
Kundan Shah was also known for classic TV series Nukkad with Saeed Akhtar Mirza.
He was one of the 24 directors who returned their National Awards to protest against growing intolerance in the country.
His other movies included Kya Kehna (2000), Dil Hai Tumhara (2002), Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa (1993) among others.
