'Joker' is regarded as one of the best films of Hollywood cinema of all time. Superstar Joaquin Phoenix played the character of Joker in this film. Now, the second part of this villainous movie is soon coming to the theatres. There are talks of Joaquin Phoenix been offered INR 367 crore for 'Joker 2'.
Joaquin has never acted in a series of films of a single franchise till date. The actor leaves the franchise after doing only one film. However, for 'Joker', he agreed to break his rule.
Joker writer-director Todd Philips shared the first look of pop star Lady Gaga from the upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux in the titular role. On Tuesday, Philips posted a close-up of Gaga’s character face-to-face with Phoenix’s Joker on Instagram.
Earlier, Gaga had collaborated with Philips on A Star is Born, which the latter had produced. Last August, the pop icon had confirmed her presence in the Joker sequel. A teaser video was posted by her on Instagram featuring Phoenix and her silhouettes dancing to Cheek to Cheek.
It is being said that that Gaga will be appearing as Joker’s love interest Harley Quinn in the movie
At the 92nd Academy Awards, Joker (2019) had bagged 11 nominations and won two. Joaquin Phoenix bagged the best actor while Hildur Guðnadóttir won in the best original score category.
Its sequel Folie à Deux is scheduled for release on October 4, 2024.
