A few days back, Bollywood singer Kanika Kanika Kapoor, revealed that she had tested positive for Coronavirus. She is admitted at a hospital in Pune and is being treated there. Her family wanted the tests to be done again, and so the team of doctors at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) performed the tests, where the results showed positive.
As per updates received on Tuesday, Kanika Kapoor has tested positive once again, for the third time in a row. Prof R. K. Dhiman, Director at SGPGIMS, has informed that since the singer continues to test positive, her treatment will continue for some more days until she tests negative twice. Her friend, Ojas Desai, has tested negative and updated the information on social media. He stayed with Kanika at the hotel in Lucknow.
Kanika was tested positive after she returned from London, however, it is reported that she dodged her way through the airport and did not reveal about her trip to London, when she was on her way to Lucknow. She then attended a party with more than 200 guests, many of who were high profile personalities and politicians. Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje and BJP leader Dushyant Singh were among the guests. Raje took to Twitter to announce the same and she was quarantined for 14 days.
Reports, as of Tuesday, March 26, 2020, state that all the other guests who interacted with Kanika Kapoor during her stay in Lucknow, have tested negative for Coronavirus. This comes as a sigh of relief for many popular personalities who were a part of the celebratory gathering.
