Maharashtra government's highest civilian award 'Maharashtra Bhushan' award will be given to veteran actor Ashok Saraf on February 22, Thursday by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The prestigious ‘Gansamradni Lata Mangeshkar Award' will be given to veteran playback singer Suresh Wadkar. Also the Raj Kapoor Lifetime Achievement and Special Contribution Award, which is given to senior artistes who have contributed to the Marathi and Hindi film industry through their art for many years, serving fans and the art industry, Chitrapati V. Cultural Work Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar said that Shantaram Lifetime Achievement Award and Special Contribution Award will also be given on this occasion.


This award will be given by the Chief Minister Shinde will be honoured. Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will be present as chief guests in this ceremony. So Assembly Speaker Ed. Rahul Narvekar, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Council Smt. Neelam Gore, Minister for Cultural Affairs Sudhir Mungantiwar, Minister of School Education and Guardian Minister of Mumbai City Deepak Kesarkar, Minister of Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Guardian Minister of Mumbai City Suburbs Mangalprabhat Lodha prominently will be present. Local representatives will also participate in this program.
