Back in the 1990s, India brought home many Miss World crowns. Indian women made a mark internationally and spread our love and pride across the world, by being called ‘beauty with a purpose.’ After 17 years now, Manushi Chhillar from Haryana has made us proud once again by winning the prestigious of Miss World 2017 title. The event was held Sanya City Arena, in China, this year. Miss England, Stephanie Hill and Miss Mexico, Andrea Meza became the first and second runner-up at the pageant. 


Over the last few days, Miss World organization has been preparing these ladies to present themselves for the final event and face the world as they all are expected to make the world better in their own means.

Manushi won Miss India 2017 and got the opportunity to represent India at this honoured stage, made it to the crown by competing against a total of 118 contestants from around the world. Stephanie Del Valle, Miss World 2016 from Puerto Rico, crowned the Indian beauty.

Manushi won the challenge by beating the other four contestants in the final round, where was asked about the profession that deserved the biggest salary and why, to which she confidently answered by saying, ''A mother deserves the highest respect. It's not always about cash but also the love and respect that we give to someone. My mother has been a huge inspiration to me. I think it is the job of a mother that deserves the biggest salary.''

This honest and best reply helped her win the crown. Manushi’s name is now written along with other popular Indian ladies like Aishwarya Rai, Priyanka Chopra, Diana Hayden, Yukta Mookhey; who also won the title of Miss World for the country.
