After a media portal shared pictures of Alia Bhatt sitting inside her living room, Mumbai Police has asked her to file a complaint. The pictures were clicked with a zoom lens from an adjoining building.

Alia condemned the incident and tagged police on Instagram. At present, the actor's team is looking into the matter and is now in touch with the concerned people.

On Tuesday, Alia had expressed shock over the incident and written, “Are you kidding me? I was at my house having a perfectly normal afternoon sitting in my living room when I felt something watching me... I looked up and saw two men on the terrace of my neighbouring building with a camera right at me! In what world is this okay and allowed? This is a gross invasion of someone's privacy! There's a line you just cannot cross and it's safe to say all lines were crossed today!" She also tagged the Mumbai Police in her post.

After her post went viral, many celebrities supported her and shared their views on Instagram. Alia's mother, actor Soni Razdan added, "Shocked and dismayed at this blatant disregard for a person's privacy. Are we really turning into 'that country' now? Where all our cultural norms simply cease to exist when it comes to 'getting the picture'? Hope someone can address this and fast!"
