Mumbai-based Ashish DiMello, who worked as an assistant editor for the film 'Everything Everywhere All at Once', which won seven awards in various categories at the 95th Oscars, is overjoyed. For the first time this year, the Oscars for the song 'Natu Natu' and the short film 'The Elephant Whisperers' have come to India.


The film 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' won the Oscar for Best Film along with Best Film Editing. The film's editor is Paul Rogers, along with Ashish DiMello and Zekun Mao as an assistant editors. Paul himself mentioned two of his colleagues while accepting the award. Originally from Mumbai, Ashish completed his graduation from Xavier's College. Ashish, who lives near Mehboob Studios in Bandra, has worked as an assistant editor for the Rani Mukherjee starrer 'Mardaani' as well as a few commercials. In 2015, he joined the American Film Institute in Los Angeles for an editing training course.


After completing the course, he started working there as an Assistant Editor. Ashish, who has compiled several short films that have won awards at international film festivals, got an opportunity to work as an assistant editor for the film 'Everything Everywhere All at Once'. Ashish said that the compilation of the film, which was completed before the coronavirus, had to be done more carefully and away from everyone during the coronavirus. We all worked hard for this film. Ashish expressed his happiness by saying that the way in which this film has received a lot of love from the audience and critics and now the Academy also showed appreciation.
