Neeraj Vora passes away today early morning at 4 am at Criti Care Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai. The final rituals of the 54-year-old director will take place at Santacruz electric crematorium at 3 pm.

The popular writer-director-actor of many Bollywood hits, Neeraj Vora passes away today early morning at 4 am at Criti Care Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai. The final rituals of the 54-year-old director will take place at Santacruz electric crematorium at 3 pm.

Neeraj reportedly had been in the coma for past one year due to heart attack, followed by a brain stroke which he suffered in October 2016.The actor-director was admitted to AIIMS for a long time. Later the popular B-town producer Firoz Nadiadwala took his responsibility and shifted Neeraj to his bungalow Barkat Villa in Santacruz, Mumbai. Firoz had converted a room into fully efficient Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for Neeraj Vora.

Neeraj was popularly known for writing and directing the widespread comedy film Hera Pheri and its installment Phir Hera Pheri. Sharing the sad news actor Paresh Rawal tweeted, “Neeraj Vora - The writer n director of Phir Hera Pheri n many hit films is no more ...Aum Shanti.”

Neeraj was also a part of movies like Welcome back, Khatta Meetha, Bol Bachchan, Tez, Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal, Department, etc. His written piece Aflatoon which is a Gujarati play was adopted by director Rohit Shetty for Golmaal.
