A majority of Game of Thrones fans must’ve been absolutely psyched about the Episode 4 leak. The broadcasters must not have been too happy though. Mumbai police have registered a case against two men for allegedly leaking episode 4 of season 7. Police said they received a complaint from a private company, for which the men work.
The firm owns the airing rights to the show. A police officer from the Mumbai crime branch’s cyber cell confirmed that a case had been filed, but no arrests have been made.
The low quality leaked episode had a watermark and the firm was surely not pleased with the leak. They ordered an inquiry later.
The company gave the MIDC police station in Andheri (East) a written complaint and also approached the cyber cell last week. A case was filed under IPC and Information Technology Act for criminal breach of trust and computer-related offenses.
Irrespective of the legal battles, fans are currently enjoying the GoT episodes either officially or unofficially (Torrent Morghulis?)
Winter is surely coming for the people who leaked the episode!
