Om Raut's most talked movie 'Adipurush' will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival June 13, 2023. The Tribeca Film Festival will take place between June 7 and June 18 in New York.
'Adipurush', starrer Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage, is the retelling of the Hindu epic Ramayana.
Adipurush at Tribeca Film Festival
'Adipurush' will be showcased in 3D format as a 'Midnight Offering' at the festival. Ecstatic, director Om Raut shared, “Adipurush is not a film, it is an emotion, a sentiment! It is our vision of a story that resonates with the very spirit of India. When I learnt that Adipurush has been selected by the esteemed jury of one of the prestigious film festivals in the world that I always aspired to be at as a student! This very premiere at Tribeca Festival is truly surreal for me as well as the entire team as we get to showcase a story at global stage that has been very ingrained in our culture!"
About 'Adipurush’
Prabhas will be seen as Lord Ram, Kriti as Sita, Sunny as Laxman and Devdatta Nage as Lord Hanuman. Saif Ali Khan will be seen as the demon king Ravana in the film.
Since the first teaser video of the film was released, ‘Adipurush' has been mired with controversies. The makers were criticised for poor VFX. Following which, the makers pushed the film's release to rework on the visuals and it is now set to hit the silver screens on June 16, 2023.
