“Morya” fame actor Santosh Juvekar and an ardent follower of lord Ganesh, is concerned about the changing image of Bappa. “Initially, it was one chawl & one Ganpati but now it’s all about political parties and the money they put it in. Also, today’s youngsters play cheap songs while welcoming bappa, our dhol tasha is somewhere lost” says, Santosh.
Busy with the films, he sees to it that he makes out time for bappa from the busy schedule. Like bappa, he too loves modak so much that he helps out his mom while making it. “I love staying awake at nights during Ganesh festival. I remember, I and my friends used to visit every home for collecting donations and used to sing all Ganpati songs. I miss all those days” express Santosh.
