Rahat Indori tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) on Sunday, August 9, 2020. He suffered two heart attacks in Monday, and passed away in Indore.

Popular Urdu poet, Rahat Indori, passed away in Indore (Madhya Pradesh) on Tuesday, August 11, 2020. As per reports, he suffered two heart attacks on August 10, 2020, at Sri Aurobindo Hospital, and was diagnosed with 60 per cent pneumonia.

He also tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) He had tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday, August 9, 2020. Details about his health were confirmed by Dr Vinod Bhandari.

Indori was 70 years old and took to social media to share the information about coronavirus infection. He was also quite active on social media platforms.

Upon knowing the news about his demise, Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan offered his condolences and prayers. 

His work as a poet and lyricist was appreciated over the years, and fans shared their messages wishing him a speedy recovery. His views regarding social and political scenarios were often loved. In the past, Indori was known for his songs from popular films like Murder, Munna Bhai MBBS, Mission Kashmir, Begum Jaan and many others.

His poetry titled 'Bulati Hai Magar Jaane Ka Nahi' went viral on social media during the valentine's day this year.
