On June 14, Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his Bandra suburban apartment. As per the investigation, Mumbai police had found that the actor was suffering from clinical depression and declared the case as suicide. However, many fans, celebrities and family members of the late actor have been demanding a proper CBI probe into the matter. 

Recently, the late actor’s father lodged an FIR on July 25 at Rajiv Nagar police station in Patna against Rhea Chakraborty and six others, including her family members, accusing them of transferring money from his account and mentally harassing him. 

Since the FIR, the actress has finally reacted to the allegations made against her in a brief statement through a video. In the video, Rhea can be seen emotionally breaking down and saying that she faith in God and the justice system. Rhea said in the video, "I have immense faith in God and the justice system. People are spreading horrible lies about me on social media. I will answer through my lawyers. The truth will prevail."

It was reported that the actress filed a plea in the Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday against the allegations. In the petition she has alleged that Sushant’s father has used his “influence” in accusing her of abetment in the suicide of his son. The plea has further said that she was in a live-in relationship with the late actor for one whole year till June 8, 2020 and has been in deep trauma since his death. 

According to Rhea, she has been receiving constant rape and death threats after Sushant's demise. She had earlier shared screenshots of these threats on her Instagram account and tagged Mumbai Police in it. Due to constant threats, the actress resorted to lodging a complaint at the Santa Cruz police station.
