Aarey Colony – Film star Salman Khan visited Aarey Colony’s unit no 7 to know more about the defecation problems local residents face and also promised them a mobile toilet.
Madras Pada, Unit no. 7, is a slum area and doesn't have enough public toilets to cater to the residents, forcing them defecate in the open. This practice has spawned a lot of diseases in the area. Salman Khan, recently designated as brand ambassador for the issue by the municipal corporation, has asked BMC officials to issue a no objection certificate so that the work of building the mobile toilet at Aarey colony can be started soon.
