Charming Dia Mirza is known for donning many hats. She acts, produces and also takes part in social initiatives. Currently she busy with Dutt biopic, but still finds time to attend 'save the children' activities of which promotes as a brand ambassador.
In a recently held event in Mumbai, she felicitated the ones who have contributed in women and children health improvement initiatives. Mumbai Live got an opportunity to chat with her she admitted that lot of initiatives do not get expected results dues to absence of good communication. "We fail to reach to those who need these programs the most," she said.
She also admitted that most of the women, even in urban scenario are ignorant about primary health problems. When we asked her to comment on government's decision to include sanitary napkins in GST she said, "we live in a dichotomous world as far as women's health is concerned. On one hand government arranges programs to create awareness about women's health, but on the other it falls prey to revenue creating practices and overlooks bare necessities. I hope social media will help bringing up these issues to the masses and drive the change."
