In the past, there have been many Bollywood movies that have caught into controversies but persistent protests against Padmavati have really taken aback the fraternity.

One sensitive issue the death threats issued against Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika Padukone. Calls have been made to Deepika for chopping off her nose to others putting a reward on their heads. While everyone from the industry has slammed such irresponsible and dangerous remarks, some like Shabana Azmi have decided to go a step further. As per reports in media, Shabana Azmi and few other actors including Katrina Kaif and Kangana Ranaut will travel to Delhi and submit a written letter to the government seeking support and protection for Deepika. Not only these actresses but also a veteran actress and Member of Parliament Jaya Bachchan have come forward to support the campaign.

Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor’s Padmavati was supposed to release on December 1 but has now been delayed infinitely.
