Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s periodic drama ‘Padmavati’ has been the talk of the town as Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor’s look as King of Chittor and Rani Padmini’s husband Maharwal Ratan Singh has been revealed and fans are basking in Shahid Kapoor’s royal look!
The makers of ‘Padmavati’ took to Twitter on Monday morning to unveil Shahid’s look.

The periodic drama also stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the lead role. After Deepika and Shahid's looks unveiled, Ranveer Singh is next to cast the royalty spell across the country.

Padmavati has been criticised heavily in Rajasthan as the cast and crew faced a lot of wrath while shooting there. Also, Shri Rajput Karni Sena, an outfit of the Rajput community, objected to the nature of reference to historical ruler Alauddin Khilji in Padmavati. The Karni Sena, who has also previously objected to the portrayal of certain historical facts in the movie, burnt posters of the film outside Rajmandir Cinema Hall in Jaipur after the first look of the movie was released.
