Recently, we met this acclaimed singer who has lent her voice to well-known songs like Sheila Ki Jawani, Beintehaan, Kamli, Chhaliya, Udi. Sunidhi Chauhan is a versatile singer who can sing almost all types of tracks, may it be high-pitched, low, nasal or modulated, this artiste can resonate anything and everything. The musician will be soon seen judging Star Plus’ upcoming reality show Dil Hai Hindustani where talent from all around the world will come to showcase their love for Indian music.

Conversing about the show Sunidhi said, “I am very happy to be associated with Star Plus. I always wanted to be associated with a show like Dil Hai Hindustani. People coming from across the globe and showcasing their love for Indian music is really beautiful to see, it is a treat for us (judges) to watch such talent assembling at one platform.”

Sunidhi does not believe in "judging" participants, she says that it's just give-and-take of talent. “I don’t judge a particular performance, though I sit on that chair. I usually see a performance and then advice accordingly, sometimes it even happens that I get to learn something from the participant. This is what I do and believe as a judge. The show is especially about celebrating music and pushing good talent forward all the time”, Sunidhi on her judging style.

Elaborating further about the international talent, the singer mentioned, “As far as foreign talent is concerned, their pronunciation and voices are different especially when they sing a Hindi or a classical song. We enjoy listening to such voices, however that doesn’t mean that they’ll score more, ultimately whoever sings the best will score good marks.”

Finally, speaking about Sanju’s song ‘Main Badhiya Tu Bhi Badhiya’, which has become the talk of B-town, the vocalist averred, “Reactions which I have received are like, ‘accha wo aapne gaaya hai?’. When I tweeted about the song many said that they didn’t recognise my voice. Yes! That was the overall idea, Rajuji (Rajkumar Hirani, Director of Sanju) had briefed me to keep the track little nostalgic. I am glad that people have liked the song.”

Dil Hai Hindustani will be co-judged by ace music composer Pritam and popular rapper Badshah. The singing reality show will be hosted by Mukti Mohan and Raghav Juyal.
