Sydenham College’s ‘Shyamchi Aai’ wins laurels

Mahim - ‘Shyamchi Aai’, the one-act play, has won accolades and also secured the first place in the Uttung One-Act Play competition held here at Yashwant Natyagruh on Friday. ‘Owi’, a psycho-thriller, won the second prize while ‘Bonsai’ stood on the third place. Besides winning the prize for the Best Writer for ‘Shyamchi Aai’ (Swapnil Jadhav) Sydenham College’s one-act play won prizes for best director, best acting in both male and female categories. Total six one-act plays were staged in the final round. Of them, ‘Shyamchi Aai’ (Sydenham College), ‘Owi’ (Zero Budget Production) and ‘Bonsai’ (Maitri Kalamanch, Dombivali) won the hearts of the audience.
