In the past few months, unfortunate incidents have come to light in the southern cinema industry. Two Malayalam actresses tragically passed away in two days. Earlier Tamil actor Vijay Antony's daughter Meera ended her life by hanging herself. Now the news of another actor's death has surfaced. Veteran Tamil actor Raghu Balaiah aka Junior Balaiah passed away early today (November 2, 2023).
Junior Balaiah died of suffocation at his residence in Valasaravakkam, Chennai, India Today reported. He was 70 years old. He was active in the film industry for more than four decades. As soon as the news of his death came to light, fans have been paying tributes to him on social media. According to the information received, his last rites will be held this evening.
Raghu Balaiah was the son of late veteran actor TS Balaiah. He was fondly called Junior Balaiya. He made his film debut in 1975 with 'Melnattu Marumagal'. His roles in the films 'Karakattakaran', 'Sundara Kandam', 'Winer', 'Satai', 'Chitthi', 'Valkai' and 'Chinna Papa Periya Papa' were particularly popular. 'Narkanda Parvai' which came out in 2021 was his last movie. Actor Ajith played the lead role in this movie.
