Amid the current political crisis in Maharashtra, Political Party representatives from NCP, Congress and Shiv Sena have been approached by the members of the Aarey Conservation Group with a written list of demands and a request to meet with their senior leaders to discuss these demands.

Talking about the same Aarey activist Amrita said,
Keeping in mind that all three parties have during the past years supported the Save Aarey Movement, we have written to them demanding that they help in getting the charges pressed against 29 Aarey supporters be dropped with the immediate effect. Our other demands include that Aarey be declared a forest, Metro car shed be relocated to Kanjurmarg or Kalina as per the recommendations of the government-appointed technical committee and that all proposed projects should be removed from Aarey at the earliest.
The political party representatives that have been approached are - Jayant Patil, Sanjay Raut, Ashok Chavan, Supriya Sule, Aditya Thackeray, Prithiviraj Chavan and Chairman of Parliament's Standing Committee on Science and Technology, Environment & Forests - Jairam Ramesh.
