Activists from the ‘Save Aarey’ collective tied rakhis to trees within the proposed Metro car shed area in Aarey Milk Colony to mark the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Activists and citizens at the location demanded the authorities remove the fences from the site of the Metro 3 car depot.

Among the other demands of the activists was to halt the construction of the ramp for the Metro 3 rakes at Aarey. They further urged the MVA government to consider alternative land options for the Metro 3 depot.
