Finally, the summer Gods got to take a respite as the rain Gods decided to sweat it out in the form of pre-monsoon showers. And this spelt a bit of relief for the city residents, finally letting them cool their senses off. The city saw a change of weather for better this Sunday evening while certain eastern and western parts of the city received a good amount of rainfall during the evening.
The areas of Mankhurd, Chembur, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Mulund and a number of other areas got heavy rainfall, thus making the weather quite pleasant for the residents. The Meteorological Department, on the other hand, has declared that the monsoons should arrive by 2 June in the city.
